We all depend on being able to continue to view our native wildlife, being safe from flooding and storm events and on places to reflect and recreate that our forested wetlands generously provide. Yet sensitive land continues to be developed and our coastlines are disappearing at an alarming rate and a shifting climate puts additional pressure on those lands that make our nation exceptional. Our wildlife, waters and ways of life are being put at risk.
2021 marks the 20th anniversary of Woodlands Conservancy. Since our first gathering in 2001, we have been striving to conserve and restore land we all need to keep balance in the natural world. Together, we've successfully conserved more than 190 acres and conducted restoration and research on an additional 500 acres to positively impact the quality of life in our region.
