Connect with nature and with others in a group led by Woodlands Conservancy board member and certified forest therapy guide Eleni Sallinger. Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing, is a gentle practice of connecting with the natural world through your senses. This simple act of immersing oneself in nature without distraction is emerging as an effective way to improve health and well-being. Benefits of this highly accessible practice include lowering stress, blood pressure, and heart rate, while improving mood and focus. Guided forest therapy walks can also foster an increased sense of belonging by strengthening our relationship with ourselves, our community, and our environment.
This immersion will help you slow down and connect deeply with the land while experiencing the transition from winter to spring. It consists of three sessions on three consecutive Saturdays; it is okay if you can’t make every session. Each session will include invitations to nurture your connection to the land, time for quiet reflection, and optional sharing, ending with a tea ceremony in the forest.
